P.S.N.E. Life Skills is shared amongst a couple of programs.
We believe learning must be at the capability the individual feels comfortable with and encourage further in time. Some projects are modified to enable everyone to participate. All are monitored by Staff &/or Individuals who have reached a learning place to help another learn. Team Work is a huge goal with PSNE as it is a Member Run Organization.
COUNTING ON CHANGE with Sarah Coleman
Sarah has an abundance of teachings in many formats such as couponing, budgeting, cooking etc. Please talk directly to Sarah for this project.
Teaches the basics of serving coffee, tea, snacks and helping with our Food Bank.
This skill allows an individual to learn from people and their unique mannerisms we all deal with at businesses.
Updating April 1 2018 – our Canteen is upgrading to including an actual small sale area with a cash register to teach individuals wanting to learn customer service
For individuals wanting to learn how to do some office skills or brush up theirs. This includes helping Individuals with needs in a Mental Health and Addictions Center.
For Individuals wanting to learn how to participate in a Team model. Working directly with Staff on various shifts.
Individuals can work alongside or independently doing basic housekeeping skills such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, dishes. Various shifts are available.
Groups will begin again in April 2018 and will be a variety of everyday basics and enhanced around Mental Health and/or Addictions.
